3. How Long We've Lived If We've Lived Beyond 30  Although the statistics on this website report our family's average life expectancy is around 60, that is because I've tried to meticulously collect birth and death dates from family Bibles and tombstones and census information and so there are many infants who were stillborn or died within days of birth, which was unfortunately not uncommon through the early 1900s. So, remembering a time in my life when I was supposedly not to trust anyone over 30 - here are the statistics for those members of our family who have lived beyond that age. As you'll see, there have been many of us who have surpassed "our longevity mark". In fact, the largest number of us have lived to be 81!
4. Number of Children by Mother  To Honor Our DuVal Family Mothers: Jane Ellis Curd (age 42) died a few hours after giving birth to her 18th child. She was 16 when she married. Eight of her children died before she did.
